Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-19

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Channeltics uses on channeltics.com (the "Service"), why we use them, and how you can control them. It is part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let the site remember information about your visit — for example, that you have already accepted a notice, or to measure how the site is used. Similar technologies (local storage, pixel tags, SDK identifiers) are treated the same way for the purposes of this policy.

2. Categories we use

Strictly necessary

Used to operate the site (load pages, remember basic preferences, protect against abuse, enforce rate limits). The Service cannot function without these. They are set automatically and do not require consent.

Analytics

Used to measure aggregate site usage so we can improve the Service. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Typical cookies set by GA4:

  • _ga — assigns a pseudonymous identifier to your browser. Lifespan: up to 2 years.
  • _ga_<container-id> — used by GA4 to maintain session state. Lifespan: up to 2 years.

These cookies are set by Google as a processor on our behalf. Aggregated reports tell us things like which pages are popular, how visitors arrive at the Service, and which devices are used. They do not let us identify you personally.

Advertising

We do not currently serve third-party advertising. Once Google AdSense is approved for this site, advertising cookies may be set by Google and its partners to show ads and measure their performance. At that point this section will be updated and an in-page consent mechanism will be enabled for visitors in jurisdictions where consent is required (including the EU, the UK and Switzerland).

3. Your choices

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies, either globally or per site. Doing so may affect functionality.
  • Global Privacy Control / Do-Not-Track — we honour browser-level opt-out signals where technically feasible.
  • Google Analytics opt-out — you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on to prevent GA4 from collecting your data on any site.
  • Your account with Google — manage ads personalisation at My Ad Center.

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are placed by third parties acting on our behalf or as independent controllers (for example Google, for analytics and ads). We do not control their cookies directly. Their use of data is governed by their own policies:

5. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy as our cookie use evolves (for example when AdSense is enabled). Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

6. Contact

Questions about cookies can be sent to contact@channeltics.com or via the contact page.
